Where this fits in your working day.

The Speed Plus 9 manual describes this workflow in section 35.7. The current chapter documents the expanded Insights workflows for version 261007 and later; confirm the installed version and relevant permissions.

WHAT THIS FEATURE DOES

Understand where a busy sales day loses margin.

Sales value alone does not explain profit. Margin Leak separates the kinds of selling decisions that can reduce contribution and helps the owner inspect the relevant item, salesperson or bill. Calculations use amounts before tax and the available product cost.

Prepare reliable cost data before reading the result. The manual directs users to Stock Report with Update Product Cost for batch costing. Choose a period, inspect the leak type and open the bill to understand whether the rate, discount or free goods were intentional.

A SIMPLE EXAMPLE

What this looks like in your business.

A product with an illustrative cost of ₹100 sells at ₹95 after discount. Ten pieces imply ₹50 below cost before tax, provided that cost and quantity basis are correct.

BEFORE YOU START

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Choose the workflow that fits your business and confirm its setup in a demonstration.

Does this report automatically change prices?

No. It supports review of the recorded sales. Correct the underlying cause or pricing policy through the appropriate workflow.

What setup should I confirm?

Unknown or stale costs can undermine the interpretation. The report highlights lines; it does not change selling rates or prove that every low-price sale was a mistake.
